The NZ Labour Party in Whangarei has organised a public meeting to discuss the very important subject of the real possibility of Genetically Modified pine trees being planted in NOrthland forestry plantations.
This is an initiative coming through from the Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) - and over-rides completely the Whangarei District Council, the Far North District Council and the Northland Regional Council efforts to keep
Northland GE-Free.
Te Tai Tokerau MP, Kelvin Davis will lead the discussion on this important issue, and submission forms will be available for people to complete and send off - before the submission deadline of 11 August.
